Attorney Michael Brady’s investigative background in police work provides him with a unique and educated perspective in your case evaluation. A former police lieutenant and Chief of Police, he began his legal career after his retirement from police work in 1998. A member of the Rhode Island, Connecticut and Federal Bars, he has broad experience in the areas of Personal Injury, Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation, Criminal Defense, as well as Contract and Labor law matters. An experienced civil and criminal trial attorney, he regularly handles matters before the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal, District Court and Superior Court. Attorney Brady is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Michael Brady currently teaches in the Administration of Justice program at Salve Regina University, teaching courses in Criminal Procedure, Criminal Law, and Management Issues in Law Enforcement to graduate students. He is a court-recognized expert witness and has interviewed with many media outlets as an expert in the field of police policy and procedures. Mr. Brady earned his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law; a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from Roger Williams University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island. Attorney Brady began his legal career in 1998 at Hamel, Waxler, Allen, & Collins; and has been in private practice since 2003. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He regularly practices in the areas of Personal Injury claims, Criminal Law, Driving While Intoxicated, Motor Vehicle offenses, Contracts, Wills, and Trusts.
